Basically i have had a fever for the three days that really went and blew up today. Symptoms include diarrhea, tearing at the eyes, constant runny nose, heavy congestion and deep raw cough that when its comes in fits feels more like i am choking and has induced throwing up at one point. But that is not the worst part. My sneezes have been excrutiatingly painful and powerful. It feels like my collar bone is being pushed up while the diaphragm is having an enormous amount of pressure pushing up. After the sneeze my collar/ shoulder area is sore and diaphragm as well. The sneeze usually causes me to have remain still for a couple of seconds while my body takes in the pain until it dissipates.

I would consider going to see your doctor. Pain on sneezing isn’t unusual, but consider your other symptoms, a fever that is not improving, flu like symptoms, gastric upset, considerable chest congestion….these are real symptoms and could indicate an illness that requires treatment.
You could have a cold and just not handle pain/being uncomfortable very well….but you could also have a leaking gas boiler or have been exposed to toxic fumes – don’t assume it’s nothing if you are really feeling unwell and are in pain, it’s always best to see someone and have them say don’t worry – or tell you if you need to worry.
If you have a sinus infection maybe it’s traveled through the neck and made the areas below it tender. Have a cup of tea and some aspirin and get into bed with a book and try not to worry about it. It will blow over (ha ha) in a few days.
When you sneeze your muscles generally contract, and this pain could be caused by muscles you rarely use contracting violently. I would say it is nothing severe.
have your doc check your rotater cuff.
