Well i fell of my horse awhile ago and broke my neck. After awhile the doc said i could go back riding horses again. Well its a month or 2 away from my last check up. For a few weeks now i have had pains in my shoulders and neck. Mostly my neck will tense up and lock and i will have to slowly move my shoulder down and make it stop hurting. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what is going on and will it last?

Don’t ride a horse again until youi have been checked. Sometimes they fix the most obvious injury, but there are others. May just be muscle spasm related to something else, but better to get checked carefully.
Now that your surgical procedure has ‘healed’, it may be time for a thorough evaluation by your family Chiropractor. By now you will have developed many chronic muscle and joint dysfunctions in your neck, upper back, and shoulders that your Chiropractor can diagnose and treat.

most likely no one on here will be able to tell you. your doctor should be able to though. that seems very abnormal to me though. maybe something isnt quite right. check with your doctor because a minor mistake in the surgery that is causing you minor pain now could end up being very serious.

you probably still have some scar tissue that is taking a while to heal and fully recover.
