My 43-yr old husband has been experiencing swelling just above the clavical intermitently for a period of about 4 years. The swollen area is soft and about the diameter of a quarter. It is accompanied by pain in the shoulder area and sometimes tingling in the fingers. It swells up then goes away for days or weeks at a time. He has seen several doctors with no diagnosis. He has had a high white blood count off & on making me think he could have some type of infection. What could this be & how can it be treated?
