I’ve been having chronic pain in my shoulder for 2 months now. It now seems that at least once a day my shoulder will lock up and I slowly have to raise it upwards untill it cracks in order to move it again, however this puts a great deal of pain and strain on my shoulder. what could this be a sign of?

The “shoulder” is actually a complex sysytem involving your Humerus {arm bone}, your clavicle {the “top bone” on your chest }. the scapula {your shoulder blade}, and many muscles, ligaments and tendons. A good friend of mine just went through three “rotator cuff” surgeries {a name given to part of that complex shoulder anatomy}, which has a part in allowing you to raise and lower your arm. He is doing quite well now, but his symptoms were akin to yours. I ‘m certain you should go to your MD for exam-referral to an Ortho Doc who can no doubt assist you. Don’t be afraid…thanks in part to all the pro athletes who get hurt these days, the state of the art in such injuries has never been better! Good luck, get better.
you must see your doctor as soon as possible as it may be some thing affecting you joint and if so it is better to find it as soon as possible and don’t be afraid just a simple x ray will do the Job but must be under supervision of your doctor so go to him and don’t stay any more..
