Got a cortisone injection for my shoulder yesterday and it was more painful last night instead of less. Is this normal? Any other suggestions to decrease the pain?

I also have pain radiating over shoulder into tricep area with muscle weakness and numbness in index finger. Has anyone ever experienced this? I have had cortisone injections in lower spine, elbow and ankle with no problems.
