i was told it could be acid reflux.Has anyone ever heard of acid reflux causing these types of symtoms?

If I lift my shoulder up it pretty much goes away. It is about every 30 sec it hurts. Is it an heart attack or more likely heartburn. I am a 23 overweight male on bp medicine.
