Sometimes When I Drink Juices Or Sodas, It Feels Like My Bones Are In Real Pain, Why Is This?

December 27th, 2009 · 4 Comments · Pain

The pain is usually in my back, around or on the shoulder blades, my spine, elbows and even feels like my neck.
It lasts about 5 minutes, sometimes longer and then goes away.
It always happens when I drink apple juice and certain sodas. Could it be the sugar entering my system? Or some other chemical in these drinks that is affecting my body?

Also you probably have a high sensitivity to acid content – the drinks u mention are all high in acid content and the oesophagus and lining of the mouth absorb fluids (just like a nurse can rub a morphine stick on the inside of a patients mouth for temporary fast pain relief) so you are getting a shot of citric acid in your blood stream which is causing the muscles to ache around your chest.
another thing to monitor is the colour of your urine – if it burns as it comes out then you are drinking too much acid if it is a dark yellow and quite strong then you are not drinking enough plain water. The aim is to get your urine a pale water yellow.

Coincidently enough, studies have shown that pop (soda, whatever) softens your bones, causing damage. Not so sure about juice though.

Sounds like you could be borderline diabetic. Go see your doctor and get a blood test to check the sugar levels in your blood.

it could be that your taste buds have unique chemicals (everyone does) that react sending signals to your brain giving false feelings. thats why some food make you happy or sad.
