Hello, I’ve been working out for years. Lately I’ve been having pain in my right shoulder after lifting things straight up above my head. This could be from doing a military press, dumb bell exercises or using a machine.
Any tips?

I’m suspecting a rotator cuff injury. They’re a group of little muscles underneath the deltoids, and are easily damaged by doing the movements you’re talking about. Look at the websight because it has alot of information about rotator injuries, and how to determine if you have one.
See your doctor. See a personal trainer. You may not be exercising properly and that is straining your shoulder.
do warmups before you start your routine. This causes less stress on your muscles so they don’t tense up and tear. Rotate you shoulders both forward and backward, up and down and around. Now do your routine. Afterwards make sure you repeat the warmup to cool you muscles down. You won’t feel soreness so much. Also fill your sink with epsom salts and hot water (as hot as you can stand). Take a hand towel and soak it in the water, wring out and put that on your shoulders after your workout. This also helps to relax your muscles.
Have them removed, get artificial, and become a cyborg!
