Shoulder Pain From Softball?

September 27th, 2009 · 3 Comments · Pain

I was playing softball and I had to throw in a long throw and I heard a crack in my shoulder. Now it hurts when I throw and it hurts really bad when I touch near the bone on top of my shoulder. I tried adding heat but it didn’t help. What could this be and what can make it go away?

    Ice it right away
    Take some advill
Try getting some medical wrap, then make a bag of ice and tape it around your shoulder
You could have pulled a muscle, if the hurting continues see a docter
Tell your coach and he will understand

DO NOT ADD HEAT to any muscle pain after 2 hours in which the injury occurred. if you do it will make it worse- swollen. Go to a doctor. You might have hardly any fat between your arm and the shoulder socket. hopefully it’s not a dislocation- cause you gotta get it fixed quickly.

I played softball for 11 years and i was a pitcher. And i always hurt my arm and the ONLY thing that worked for me was
    1. take 4 advil
    2. PUT a heating pad for 20 min
    3. then directly ICE
    4. GO back and forth from really hott to really cold 20 min each for about two hours.
I hope you feel better ;)
