I have had a dull and very rarely serious pain under my left shoulderblade for a while now. It comes and goes, for example, it will hurt for three weeks or so and then stop for about 4 to 5 or more months. I drive with my seat arched way back and my left arm extended all of the way forward at 12 o’clock on the steering wheel because i have a stick shift and that’s how i started driving and i’ve been driving this way for about 8 years now. This pain has been going on and off since about 3 to 4 years ago. I was wondering if this was because of the way I drive. Is there any home remedy to make the dull pain go away? i am 25 years old by the way and also when I rub the area, it feels a little better. Thanks for your input!

it could be your posture or not enough stretching exercises or it could even potentially be a heart problem as most patients complain of pain under the left shoulder blade. If the problem continues for more than a few weeks, or gets worse, you should see a doctor. Your doctor will ask how the problem started, how it has developed, and how it interferes with your life. Each shoulder problem has its own pattern of symptoms. Most conditions cause pain when you use or move your shoulder. Your doctor will probably ask you which movements give most pain because this will be a good indication of where the problem is. Alternatively, the doctor may examine you to find out which movements are most difficult for you.
