Do any exercising or lifting recently? You don't say how long this has been going on. Is it the whole back or just by the shoulder part. Can you lift your arm above your head? If you can not it may be the rotator cuff. At any rate if it does not go away in a couple of days go to the doctor. For now try tylenol and cold packs fjor a couple of days, but don't leave the cold pack on for more than 15 minutes at a time. Wait 1/2 hr and then do it again Good Luck
