Pain In Lower Back, Shoulders And Butt Cheek?

November 25th, 2009 · 4 Comments · Pain

I have been trying to loose weight and started lifting weights and I may have hurt myself. My right upper back, butt cheek and right shoulder hurts. I am also experiencing pain on the left side of my neck, like spasm. Every time I walk, I can feel a sharp pain in leg under my butt cheek and down. What can this be? I made an appointment to have physical therapy but with GAS PRICES going high, I may not be able to go for long. What can I do at home to help?

i had the same thing in my lower back and glutes… it is your physatica (sigh – at – ee- ka) (don’t knwo how to spell the word but know how to pronounce) playing up..
if you are doing weights i would stop them until you get better or try a different weight, i don;t know howmuch your lifting but if it is a large amount then your probably not used to doing that and your muscles are reacting by hurting, you should try and stregthen the muscles up a bit more through lunges and exercviese of the type.
streching as well will help a great deal find some streches for your lower back and your glutes..
your shoulder may be the result of you over compensating for your lower back or it could also be that the weights are to heavy and your muscles are not ‘ready’ for that.
try and do lots of streching and work yourself up to a certasin weght try not to start big an get bigger start small.
    hope this helps

Well first of all, I think you should stop weight lifting for the moment. I understand you wanting to loose weight (and I’m sure you have) BUT if you keep weight lifting whilst your body is in pain, you may wreck your body for the rest of your life! I think that’s a good sign to stop until you work out what’s wrong. Your body is probably feeling shock, maybe because you haven’t done weights before. Definitely go and see a physio though. Find other ways to loose weight. How about walking around the block or jogging. 10 minutes every day is enough. Or if you are wanting to loose more weight, than how about going to the gym where you can run and also do weights too, but with supervision (in the case that you are not lifting weights properly which may be the cause of your pains.) Hope this helps! Good luck!

    I don’t care because I pay
“.08 per gallon you can too” and pay 1940s p;rices for groceries too
and you can if you search YouTube for that
    No Bull
I don’t have to search the web for “How can I find the chneapest gas prices in my town, city area neighborhood” or Where can I find the lowest priced gas at any gasoline stations in my area”
So ALL of you can either join in or go on paying $4.00 – to $5.00 tp soon $6.00 per gallon while I pay .08 Ha !

Physical therapy!? To be honest i don’t think that you are injured. I’m guessing this is your first time lifting weights. Your body might just be sore. Its hurts like hell, like you have been run over by a bus. Take some pain killers and soak in a hot bathe with some Epsom salt. If you dont feel better in a week than go see a doctor. Feel Better!
