It started on Wednesday but has subsided at times to the point of being barely non-existent on Thursday. I woke up Friday and it was back. When I take a really hot shower, that seems to give me a lot of relief at least for a little while.
Last night it was through the right side of my body as well and even in my lower back.
I’ve been through a huge amount of stress lately (still am) and just feel like crying a lot (I’m not). My heart rate is normal also.
Any ideas…. I am calling the doctor today. Thanks
Pain In Left Shoulder, Arm, Neck, 4 Days Now????

Likely a trapezial muscle strain compressing on the nerve causing a spasm and radiating down your shoulder and arm from your neck.
Most likely caused by muscle tension and posture changes causing muscles not normally used to support you head and neck to do so. ( Compensating for the muscles that are supposed to do this.)
If less than 48 hours use ice 20 min on and off as much as possible. If greater than 48 hours, use a hot water bottle( it penetrates the muscle better than a heating pad). Use Aleve 1-2 tablets with food 2 times a day (OK to use 2 tablets if you weigh more than 120# and do not have stomach problems, previous ulcer or reflux/ frequent indigestion)
Its probably just tension since you say you have been under a lot of stress. I get the same thing too when im stressed.
Ahh, since youve mentioned the burning and tingling, it could be a trapped nerve
google Dr. John Sarno
Muscle pain? Stretch, and get someone to give you a massage, that should help it relieve itself.
you may have pulled a muscel
Next time, call your doctor sooner.
Seems like a frozen shoulder, itsgood that u r going to the doc today, best of luck.
My dads a doctor I asked him and he said
mabey you ripped a nerve or a tissue or even a muscle
this takes no doctor.. only little movement and 2-3 weeks time
you sound like you got some knots and soreness in your muscles, you need to see a massage therapist. Okay I just read the extra part you added on, your jaw could feel clenched cause your said your tense and it more then likely is clenched, when ppl are stressed they clench their jaw. however, if its painful you might want to go see your doctor, not sure of your age though but left arm pain, jaw pain and chest pain are symptoms of a heart attack however, more times then not its muscle related. Try not clenching your jaw. Also if you feeling tingling or anything that can also be caused from tight muscles in the neck pressing on the neurovascular bundle but could mean something else. Go to your doctor get your blood pressure and all that checkd out and then ask for a referral to see a massage therapist.
Also ppl like to learn new words and diagnose ppl with them, I highly doubt you have fibromyalgia or spondylitis.
sounds like spondulitis. ( don’t know if that’s the correct spelling)
Knot in a muscle
It sounds like a pinched nerve. Unfortunitly the only way of fixing those are to let them work themselfs out or depending on how deep it is some massage thearpist can help a bit.
Hope you are better soon, the doctor will tell whats wrong.
I have Fibromyalgia and it started with stree, but it takes a long time and a whole lot of test before you get a diagnois, I pray you don’t have it, it’s hell
Good Luck
Best think call the doctor
