Pain In Chest, Shoulder, And Neck/jaw?

October 27th, 2009 · 1 Comment · Pain

I’m 17 years old and healthy for my age. However, since mid last year, on and off, I’ve had these pains on the left side of my body – first in my shoulder, then further to my neck/jaw and chest; but Sunday morning I woke up and it was worse than ever. The pain seems to “flare up” when the weather is bad, if it matters. My shoulder “grinds” some when I move it and it just feels like I have a muscle spasm in my chest (like in anxiety attacks.) I just went to the dentist and everything was fine there, but other than that I have no clue what part of my body is to blame.
So, what may be the culprit for the pain? From people I know, I’ve heard it could be nerves/muscles, my bones, and my heart. I think it may be arthritis in my shoulder since that’s where it all started, but others are worrying me, even though they’re not exactly educated on this matter.
BTW, I’m calling the doctor tomorrow morning (so please don’t tell me to go; it’s already on my to-do list) and I’m not exactly asking for a diagnosis, but I want to “do my homework” so to speak and call the right type of doctor.
Thanks in advance :)

You might have a nerve thats pinching when you do certain things? I’m not sure. But if you pinch a nerve it does effect a lot of stuff.
