My Shoulder Hurts When Using A Mouse?

November 30th, 2009 · 4 Comments · Pain

I’ve recently had pains in my right shoulder every time i use a computer.
After about 5 minutes it starts to hurt. It’s not aching or throbbing, but constant pain.
I sit upright and my hand is in line with my arm. I have no idea what is causing the pain.
What should i do about it?

It might be because of where you have your mouse positioned. You could try putting your mouse somewhere else.
It’s always a good idea to take breaks when you’re at a computer for a long time, do some light stretches.

you might have repetitive strain injury
just rest your arm/ wrist. try using ice packs to relieve pain. do some stretching exercises for your arm/ wrist. you can take in pain reliever.
if it still hurts, or worsens, consult a doctor.
