For the last year I’ve noticed that whenever I run I get sharp pains in my shoulder/collarbone area. It calms down afterwards but I’m just wondering if anyone knows what might cause this?

I in fact have the same problem.
Mine is due to something called a congenial rib, which is basically an extra rib that is growing up near my collarbone, and when I run, the heat expands the area, causing the space to become tighter, leaving me in pain.
During development in the womb, every child has extra (congenial) ribs that basically disintegrate during the last trimester, but due to premature birth or a calcium deficiency, or something such as scoliosis, these “extra ribs” can remain intact in the body. While they are no harm, they can create somewhat of a discomfort during exercise, or eating.
I hope I helped!
