I’m in college and I hurt my shoulder during flag football. I believe it happened when I dove and landed on my armpit (if that makes sense) with my arm completely outstretched. The next couple days it was extremely sore and I couldn’t move it much. It was getting better and we were still playing so I didn’t get it checked out, and it has been about 3 weeks. It has definitely gotten better I can move it all around now, but it still aches or gives me some pain when I stretch my arm a certain couple ways (like putting my arm across my head and behind my head). Any advice, I know that its tough without any x-rays or something like that, but I would like any input. Thanks.

I think it is always better to have it checked by a dr. That said, as long as you can use it and it continues to improve, it will probably be fine. If you avoiding the use of that shoulder, see a dr. Not using it can lead to frozen shoulder, and takes a months of therapy to work through.
