Has anyone else experienced such a problem, and if so, what was it, and how were you treated?

Please don’t tell me you were not under a Dr. care during those 18 month with those Hives. Usually hives are a symptom of your bodies immune system reacting to something (allergies). I’m a little bit worried about your immunesystem attacking your joints now. Rheumatoid athritis could be one of the possible diagnoses. Get checked out by a dr., please. Sorry, I really don’t mean to scare you, but RA can hit at any age, and become very disabling if not treated. Take care of yourself.

go to your docter that would be the best thing to do

Lyme, Bartonella, Babesia — diseases you can get from a tick can cause skin problems and joint pain and the diseases will attack the weakest parts of the body, such as a shoulder injury.
Also itchy skin can be a sign of liver problems.
    Allergies can do the same.

Adelle Davis’s book Lets Get Well has good chapters on Allergies and Skin Problems. Her approach to good nutrition helped many people. MonaVie juice may also help (unless you are allergic to juices).

HIV? Get a blood test and talk to your doctor, that person will know what’s the matter.

Could be an autoimmune disorder. What does your doctor say?
If it’s been going on for 18 months, might be time to change doctors. Make sure to keep track of your medical records.
