I had that a few weeks ago. Felt like tennis elbow, but in my shoulder and arm. I put an IcyHot patch on my shoulder and arm over night and my shoulder felt 80% better the next morning. I repeated that every night for two or three days until the pain finally went away.
It could be a pulled muscle, or if you have been doing anything different from what you usally do e.g. exercising or heavy lifting it would just be where the muscle fibres have ripped and new ones are forming……meaning your muscles are getting bigger. i had the same pain a few days ago after doin some press ups and tricep dips.
the pain must be unbearable and u can use an ointment and its better to keep away from stretching activities.most of the the time the symptoms for a pulled muscle is the swelling around the injured part.so check it out and get well soon.
