I have cronic pain in my shoulder and I take medication for it. I was denied a job because I’m on those medication. I do not take the medications except just before bed time so they do not interupt my work at all.

You were not denied the job because of the presciption, but because you present a possible future liability to the company you applied to. Even though this is discriminatory, and illegal, it is the bottom line. Also, if you are in “chronic pain”, how do you expect to perform your job duties, be dependable, and not be a constant challenge to management to keep your position “working” so to speak?
Just a thought…..
well did you tell them that you wouldnt be taking the meds during work hours? if so…..and they still denied you…….seek an attorney. thats discrimination.
Did anyone tell you that is the reason?
