i bet its muscle pain in your shoulder. i get that all the time. (i swim. ) Advil always works for me, i like to put a heating pad on it, and rub the crap out of it. Good luck, and i hope your shoulder gets better =]

Any pain above the waist could possibly be a heart attack. If you think it could be that, go to the ER right away.
Also if you think it is a broken bone, muscle or tendon tear or pull you could go to the ER.
Otherwise, you could try resting the arm, heat or ice and either aspirin, tylenol, ibuprofen or naproxen.

Could be a frozen shoulder so see your GP.

Go to a doctor or to a hospital immediately.
it can be nothing or it can be something with your heart.

Could be a frozen shoulder but more likely a subacromial bursitis (inflammed tendon cushion under the shoulder joint). A steroid is without doubt THE best treatment, defiantly see your GP

Sounds like a condition commonly called ‘painful arc’, which can produce chronic discomfort to those with wear and tear in the shoulder joint. GP is the best policy, but often an anti- inflammatory tablet is recommended. The GP may suggest corticosteroid injections and physio.
Best wait for the GP, rather than over the counter tabs. Otherwise your friendly pharmacist might help!
