Here are some things that you can do to get some relief from neck soreness and stiff neck:
1) Try some neck exercises – bring your head forward (chin to your chest) and hold for 10-15 seconds, then back to neutal. Next, extend your head back looking up to the ceiling. Then laterally bend to the right and to the left, bringing your right ear to the right shoulder and vice versa. With these neck stretches, try to relax as much as possible, breathe and only to this to the point of feeling a stretch in the neck. 2) It appears that you may have trigger points in your neck and upper back areas. You need to have work on these tender points.
