I got my shot 6 days ago and it was fine as if it never happened for the first two days. I stayed active and didn’t have a problem at all. Then on the third day, and every day after, my shoulder joint started to hurt very badly. The pain was so severe that I would get nauseaus and be woken up at night by it. It is constant and ice and tylenol are not working to relieve the pain. I can’t lift things with it or lift my arm to shouler level.I called my hmo nurse and she poo-pooed me away. I am seriously having trouble functioning. Does this sound normal?

TB shots arent injected into the muscle so you shouldnt have any pain, unless of course youve had a positive test.
How many times did they poke you before they got it right.?
Is it swollen or red at the site of the injection?(or worse)
If yes, youve got a positive test there and something needs to be done.
Either way, you shouldnt have pain, (even with a positive test it shouldnt be painful all the way up to your shoulder) go to the doctor and let them look at it, if the HMO nurse ignores you go to her supervisor, you need to get it checked….
You should be feeling better by now..I remember hurting badly for at least three days and was tender for maybe even two weeks. Are you sleeping on that arm? You should keep moving it, like do arm circles a lot during the day or hold your arm above your head to stretch it. Instead of tylenol, try advil. It will help relieve any swelling in the joint. Maybe alternate your ice with a heat pad, or stop the ice and just do heat (in general, you ice an injury for only the first 24 hours and then just do heat).
