I believe i may have injured my left shoulder playing a sport because the bone on top of the shoulder is sticking up more than the bone in my right shoulder. I have no pain however, only an extremely minor ache so i am unsure when and where exactly it may have happened. What could have happened and what do i do to heal it?

Place ice on the area for twenty minute per hour. If there is no improvement in the situation then see a doctor. What you are describing is associated with the acromioclavicular joint. Hopefully it is just a minor sprain and nothing more. You may need to strengthen the shoulder retractors to stabilize the area and reduce pressure on the joint.
The other 2 are right on the money. The tendens that hold the blade maybe stretched or torn. I had the same thing happen during football in high school. I stretched them and dislocated my joint. It really sucked getting it put back in. See a doctor that can take xrays to find out more.
it sounds like you need to see a doctor, you could have torn the A/C joint
