my mom has always had terrible knots in her back and shoulders, lately her shoulder muscles have been VERY tight and knotting up. i have always been good at getting knots out, and if they get too bad she will see a cyroprator (sp?) however she hasn’t had time to see one right now, she has too much work. so she has tried those icy hot patches but they didn’t touch it, neither has any sort of medications. she has taken muscle relaxers but they hardly touched it. the pain is so bad she says its hurts to breathe and she can’t even sleep due to constent pain in her shoulder. does anyone have any sort of solutions for this? any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you.


She’ll probably need a combination of remedial massage from a chiropractor and acupuncture from a certified acupuncturist. Acupuncture really helps.
Also, once she feels better, she might benefit from yoga too cos it helps to stretch out tense and tight muscle and keep them in better shape in the long run.
And if she’s experiencing bad pain and ache, run a tub and put in one to two boxes of epsom salt and it helps relief muscle ache.
I have fibromyalgia so i suffer chronic pain and when my back and shoulders knot up I use some moist heat from a heating pad. Not one of the ones you just plug that isn’t the same as moist heat. Try a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel or go to a medical supply store and ask for one. After that I use a cold pack works very well, but some people can’t handle the cold so try that slowly, then she should see the doc sometime. there could be a reason for the aches and pains
Drink mineral oil mixed with water or mineral water but it taste awful! You can get it from a health food or herb shop. Also a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed in a glass of water 3 times a day. Both. And lots of vitamin C, You will notice results in a day or two.

or just walk on her back, thats a real great massage, but dont be really heavy or u might squish her lol

I can’t think of any home remedy but I think your mom should go to the Chiropractor as soon as possible or maybe her family doctor.
actually i have that problem only a bit worse. my advice is to have her go to have a deep tissue massage. its not luxurious at all, but she will feel so much better. trust me i understand her pain. also, try physical therapy. it could do wonders
I can’t guarantee that this will work but I’ve noticed that it does help. Sometimes alcohol will help relax the muscles and loosen the knots, taking a hot, steamy bath in the mourning. If your mom is against drinking alcohol then I don’t have a solution.

Drink lots of water and treat her to a massage! Let an experienced masseuse feel the knots and tell her “where” they are. If it does get worse, then see a chiropractor. They know all sorts of tricks to get rid of pain!
