Extreme Shoulder Blade/lung Pain?

October 21st, 2009 · 2 Comments · Pain

I was playing soccer yesterday when I got thrown to the ground and landed extremely hard on my shoulder. It kinda felt like i jammed it into my shoulder blade. The pain is mostly in my shoulder blade and it hurts to breathe in or out all the way. moving my shoulder doesn’t hurt. so, i don’t know what to do about this awful and ideas what i did or how to help it?

  • Jesus, LOL!

sounds like a cracked rib. a trip to the er is in order here. you don’t want your lungs to fill up with fluid.

I’ve had similar once b4. Try getting a deep but gentle massage as it could be a muscle or nerve causing you pain caused from the friction of impact. I had it happen once from sleeping on a couch even.
But if the problem is with your actual breathing and not from the stretch of your lungs filling…then go see a doc incase of a puncture from a cracked bone or something. Even if not you should check a doc if the pain doesnt go away a bit in a day or two. Try some stretching long and slow, not fast or forced, be patient with stretching because over doing a stretch can cause trouble.
