Continuing Pain After Pneumonia?

December 30th, 2009 · 3 Comments · Pain

I had Pneumonia around 3 weeks ago. It has been gradually getting better. However after all this time, there is a pain when I burp, sneeze or laugh in my side with referred shoulder pain. However this pain is on the opposite side to the lung afflicted. Also there is no pain when I breathe so it can not be Plerusy. Can anyone please help me know if this will get better?

I had pneumonia 11 months ago now and I still experience pain in my left lung whilst coughing and sneezing, And to be honest it is still not letting up.
I have been back and had further chest xrays and according to my GP there is a slight scarring on my left lung but nothing to worry about, however the pain is most uncomfortable. I have been informed that the discomfort should go in time.
